Harbor View Neighborhood Association Meeting
The next meeting of the Harbor View Neighborhood Association will be on June 1, 2026, at 6pm. The meeting is In Person only but will be streamed via Facebook for archival purposes. Attendance on Facebook does not qualify for voting. The meeting will be held in the Salesian Boys and Girls Club cafeteria, across from the Brooke Charter School on Byron Street. You can access the meeting from the front door on Byron Street which is also handicap accessible and an elevator is available for your convenience if needed. which is the handicap entry, to avoid the stairs.

FYI (5min): HVNA will not meet in the month of July. Free Monthly Community Dinner at Sacred Heart Parish June 10,2026, 5pm-7pm. Did you know that in 2025 the census in East Boston was 46,892? East Boston Heritage Parade presents Comedy Night at the Harbor on May 28, 7pm at The Tall Ship.June 2, 2026, virtual ZBA hearing on the 3 Moore Street proposal. Fiesta Shows Carnival June 10-14, McClellan Highway near the hotel. Wednesday Nights on the Greenway starts on June 24, Disco Night, 6pm-8pm Bremen Street Park.Massport will display the world’s largest soccer ball, 45 feetacross, at Piers Park on June 12-18. It is all part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup which kicks off on June 13th. 160 William F. McClellan Highway, Letter of Intent (LOI) for this project was received on May 11, 2026. Planning Department is soliciting nominations for the Impact Advisory Group (IAG) on this project. Please remember Grace Church Food Pantry for any donations of food or money. McLean Park (5min) Barbara Puopolo, Subcommittee Chair will present up to date information on the planned renovation of the park as shared by Nelle Ward, Project Manager, Boston Parks and Recreation.
795 Saratoga Street (30min) Attorney Richard Lynds will present on behalf of owner/developer Maraprano Development, LLC. The project involves renovation of a single-family home into 3 residential units which includes a rear addition and dormers, as of right. The Zoning Code Refusal states relief needed from BOA for EB Neighborhood Roof Structure restrictions and Side yard Insufficient.
Nominations (15min) HVNA will entertain motions for nominations to the Board of Directors. Only residents of Harbor View who have been active in the organization may be considered for election as a Director. The Board has five (5) Directors. The structure of the Board consists of two (2) Co-Chairpersons, a Secretary, a Treasurer and an At-Large Director.
HVNA Meeting Reminder that there will be no meeting on July 6, 2026. Have a safe and relaxing day on the 4th of July. Our next HVNA Meeting will be on August 3, 2026.
